Dani Torrent is an illustrator, painter, and also a writer. He lives in Barcelona and has more than ten years' experience illustrating picture books, many of them self-authored. He studied film directing and that knowledge is reflected in the structure, pace, and composition of his creations, which embody the essence of a short film.

He has worked for Spanish publishing companies such as Edelvives, Kalandraka, Alfaguara, Cal.lígraf and Comanegra, but his artistic work has had a much greater impact on his career and led him to be a renowned illustrator.
