Carlos Díaz has always been interested in his surroundings, taking in what he sees and hears to compose images that tell stories about everyday life. Throughout his career, he has collaborated as an illustrator on more than 70 book projects with other authors and has had the opportunity to participate in workshops and conferences.
He is also an author and illustrator of his own stories, which often touch on emotional issues. In March 2021, his picturebook Su casa me gusta was ranked among the top 100 recommended books in Latin America by the Cuatrogatos Foundation.
