Egyptian photographer Salma El Kashef knows that impactful work comes from within the creator. She is driven by her authentic artistic spirit. When photographing, she is in constant conversation with herself about what she’s trying to say and what observers take from her images. Salma started her career collaborating on film sets across her native Cairo and has since worked with brands like Samsung, Palm Hills, and Nescafé.

Salma El Kashef is a filmmaker and photographer based in Cairo. She started working on drama series in her native Egypt. This experience opened her eyes to new aspects of cinema and dealing with actors. It helped her develop her cinematic style, which she would later employ collaborating with clients like Samsung, Palm Hills, and Nescafé. She directed a Mother’s Day campaign with Egyptian jewelry designer Azza Fahmy and has hosted photography exhibitions at some of Cairo’s most historic and ancient buildings.
