Requirements and materials
Basic notions of audio recording are required for this course. A working knowledge of an editing program like Adobe Audition or Reaper would also be ideal. As for materials, you need a semi-professional or professional recorder and microphone, monitor headphones, and a computer with the audio editing software of your choice.

Ana Cecilia is a writer, editor, and DJ who loves telling stories about sound, the body, and pop culture. In 2020, she edited the children's book El Bajo Alberti, illustrated by Dipacho, in Colombia and Chile. She has also published her own work in Colombian magazines like Arcadia, El Malpensante, and Diners, and the Rio Grande Review of Poetry in the US.
She has participated in audio festivals such as Festival Sur Aural in Bolivia and Festival En Tiempo Real in Colombia. She often DJs under the name LaPhDj in the Chulita Vinyl Club collective. Her audio documentary [i]From the Center Out[i], coproduced by Laura Marina Boria, was selected to participate in the 2022 edition of the radio art festival Radiophrenia in Scotland.
