Requirements and materials

You need a solid grasp of the basic knitting stitches to take this course; however, the final project is adapted to beginners.

As for materials, you need yarn, crochet hooks (Anna knits with circular hooks), a set of needles (useful for the straps), a darning needle, a measuring tape, scissors, various types of paper, colored pencils, pins, as well as other tools that your teacher will specify during the course.

Anna Husemann is a textile designer from Hamburg, Germany, who discovered her passion for collage and bold, colorful patterns while studying for a master's degree in Textile Design at HAW Hamburg. Over time, she developed her personal style through a blend of abstract, organic shapes and sustainable materials.

After finishing her studies, Anna set up the studio of her newly created brand Plysh in her own home. Her pieces have been featured internationally, for example in the Pom Pom Quarterly magazine and in an exhibition by art collective 8B in Denmark. She also shares all her knowledge in knitting manuals, as well as in courses on knitting, crochet, and textile dyeing that she teaches regularly.
