Learn how to renovate a small apartment step by step, from the initial brief and floor plan design to your client presentation
Learn how to renovate a small apartment step by step, from the initial brief and floor plan design to your client presentation
"The most important thing isn't the square footage, it's what you do with it!"
This is the guiding principle behind Space Factory, an interior design studio that specializes in optimizing small living spaces. As our cities get bigger, square footage is in short supply, and the studio excels in its mission: renovating spaces by optimizing their functionality and sense of occupancy.
In this online course, Ophélie and Edouard, the design duo heading the studio, teach you how to rethink compact spaces by bringing the client's identity and a little more life into them. For the final project, carry out all the steps and plans necessary for the renovation of an apartment, from the analysis of the brief to the client presentation. Get ready to design some truly cozy nests because, yes, even the smallest homes are where the heart is!

This course was an excellent beginner course. The instructor was systematic in the presentation of the steps and rational for the design process and choices. It was particularly helpful seeing this project and the changes that were made as the project progressed. I am eager to begin working on my first project.

I was expecting more tips to make compact spaces functional. I still enjoyed the course but wish there were several exemples of before/plans/3D/after to illustrate the process in different contexts.
