In this seven-course Domestika Basics, Daniel Arranz teaches you how to use Lightroom 11.4 from scratch. If you'd like to learn more about retouching, discover Daniel's tips, tricks, and techniques in his previous course Adobe Photoshop for Photo Editing and Retouching.

In the first course, Daniel gives you an introduction to Lightroom and covers fundamental concepts such as what a RAW file is, color space, bit depth, and how to import and export images.

Move on to learning how to read an image's histogram in the second course. Then dive into developing photos as Daniel explains how to adjust basic settings and use the all-powerful color curves.

In the third course, discover how to correct lens distortion and adjust perspective before taking an in-depth look at color and tone, as well as how to save several different versions, or Snapshots, of an image.

The fourth course is all about masks. Find out how to create them manually first, then automatically using artificial intelligence. In the fifth course, go a step further with more advanced concepts, such as how to use multiple masks in the same image for increased precision.

Now it's time to make magic with HDR! In the sixth course, see how to capture a wide spectrum of tones (dynamic range), make panoramas, apply Super resolution, and adapt photos for on-screen viewing and printing.

Daniel Arranz is an expert in photo retouching and certified by Adobe (ACE and ACA) in Photoshop and Lightroom. He shares his knowledge by teaching photo editing and retouching at the specialized photography school La Máquina, where he also runs the post-production department.
As a photographer, he's an expert in professional lighting, although his most distinguished work is in travel and street photography, which has earned him over 40 awards in international contests such as the Sony World Photography Awards (UK), IPA Awards (USA), Prix de la Photographie (France), International Loupe Awards (Australia), and International Color Awards (USA), among others. He has also been awarded in Spain for collaborations with El País, National Geographic España, Iberia, Eurostars Madrid Tower, and more.
His work has been displayed in numerous national and international galleries, most notably Somerset House in London.
