Aldo Jarillo is an illustrator and visual artist. Although he started out as an editorial designer, his interest in imagery soon led him to illustration and, from there, he immersed himself fully in the art world. He is passionate about the potential dialog between different elements and the puzzle of turning an idea or emotion into an artwork.
Throughout his career he has collaborated with The New Yorker, Letras Libres, and El Malpensante. He also won the International Illustration Biennial in Ukraine.

What a course! What an incredible instructor! This course takes a very cerebral look at illustration, and makes the process much deeper than literal translations. The dissection of text to generate a new idea that becomes the basis of the illustration is very interesting. This is not a grab your pencil and draw, but a deep dive into concept and ideology. If you like to be challenged, this is the course for you!

Es un curso estupendo para aprender a trabajar la idea y concebir la obra.
El curso me ha resultado muy interesante y útil. El profesor es muy didáctico y sus explicaciones son claras y muy gráficas, pero aunque él lo haga fácil, resulta algo complicado pasar de un texto diseccionado a un boceto. Requiere mucha mucha práctica y ser capaz de asociar conceptos, emociones y representaciones.
