A course by Daniel Benítez , Art Director
Create characters for video games where the pixel is the star
Create characters for video games where the pixel is the star
A pixel is the smallest digital representation of color, and pixel art is a form of digital art that consists in editing images at pixel level to build an "old school" aesthetic like the very first video games.
In this course, learn to reproduce this aesthetic alongside Daniel Benítez, cofounder of the video game studio Fourattic, as he teaches you to master the art of the pixel from scratch to create characters and graphics for latest-generation 2D video games using Pyxel Edit.

A course by Daniel Benítez
Daniel Benítez is an art director specialized in video games and pixel art, a technique that he has been developing since beginning his career in the world of video games. He is cofounder of Fourattic, an independent video game studio, and has collaborated on video games such as Crossing Souls and Starr Mazer.
His latest and most ambitious creation, Crossing Souls, was born from the need to build something of his own, made purely with the players in mind. Crossing Souls is an action video game with an "old-school" aesthetic available on all the top platforms.
