No extensive prior knowledge is required. You'll need drawing paper, graphite pencils, a black ink pen, an eraser, and a sketchbook. A curiosity about everyday observations and an interest in visual narratives will be helpful for learning.

Miguel Gallardo
A guided course by Miguel Gallardo
Miguel Gallardo (1955 - 2022) studied at the Massana School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona.
He began his professional career combining the comic-he was one of the authors of MAKOKI , iconic character of the underground- and the illustration to finish dedicating himself fully to this last activity.
He regularly collaborates as a press illustrator for La Vanguardia and different national and international magazines and publications such as the Herald Tribune, NYT and The New Yorker.
Make covers for the main Spanish publishers. Together with Victoria Bermejo they have made a dozen children's books for RBA, La Galera and Ed. 62. With Àngels Ponce he is co-author of What's wrong with this child? , a guide on disability for Serres.
He has won two awards from the Comic Fair, two SND (Society of Newspaper Design), a Serra D'Or for the book and a press award from APIC for his illustrations in La Vanguardia.
In 2007 published "Mary and I" with Astiberri, a graphic novel that chronicles the adventures and journeys with her daughter Maria 13 years who has autism for which he received the National Premi of Generalitat in its comic section in 2008. In 2014, it received the Grand Prix of the Barcelona Comic Fair for its entire career. In 2009, a documentary about the book with the same title "María y yo" which has received several awards.
Seven and a half years after the publication of "María y yo", Miguel Gallardo returns to show us the look of his daughter, already in her twenties, and her relationship with the world in "María is 20 years old".
