The world of plants

Where do plants come from? What is its natural habitat like? How did they adapt to different climates? The benefits that plants bring us. A way to go back to here and now . Plants help us cultivate our patience and create spaces of calm for us. Now you are going to observe and learn from nature. You will analyze plants in detail, I will tell you about the strategies they use to survive in different climates and some curious facts; so you can give them the best place in your home. I will show you all the benefits of having plants in an indoor space.

I will explain to you what are the four basic factors that you must take into account and know for the proper development of your plants.

The substrate

The substrate is the basis of everything. I'm going to show you why this is so important and what kinds of mixes work well for different types of plants. In addition, you will learn to keep it rich in nutrients and decompress it.

How to identify and control pests?

You will learn to identify the most common pests and / or diseases that can attack your plant, you will know why plants can be more susceptible to being attacked and what products you can use to control and combat it.

Live the space

What does space mean to you? Do you see? What do you smell What do you feel? What do you hear You are going to really experience the site through all the senses to identify and understand it in order to design it.

Identify the space: information and measurements

I will explain how to take basic and specific information about the space that you will need to start designing. You will also define your objectives. What are you looking to create with plants in your space?

The style

In this lesson, I will teach you all about the different styles of plant design. You will choose the one you like the most to start working.

Materials and mood board

I will show you the materials that you will use according to the style, colors, textures and types of plants that you will use in your space. You will know the pros and cons of each material and the plants that are suitable for each one. In addition, I will help you find inspiration to create your mood board directed towards your space and style.

How to make an outline by zones

You will make a detailed plan, step by step with all the information you obtained. You will mark the sunlight, the ventilation, you will zone your spaces and you will place the materials that you chose. Everything you have learned during the course will be put on paper and then put into practice.

Select plants

You are going to give the plants the best space in the place where they will be happy and will develop well. You are going to think about where the plants come from, what is their ecosystem of origin to be able to place it in the right place and give it the care it requires. You will apply everything we have been learning together.

Flowerpots and accessories

You're going to get creative! You will have fun choosing different materials for your plants. You will make compositions of pots with different shapes, materials, heights, colors and styles.

Space styling

You will put everything you have been choosing to start assembling your space with plants, materials, colors and accessories.

How to keep your plants happy?

I will give you several tips and advice to take care of and keep your plants healthy and happy so that your project develops perfectly. You will learn the basic care in a very simple way, for example, how to maintain the substrate well, some self-watering ideas, how to clean the leaves and how to take care of the humidity of the environment. By following these steps, little by little you will become an expert in plant care, after this experience, you will see that you will not want to stop delving into the world of plants.
