Domestika Basics · 8 courses included
Avid Media Composer is one of the most stable software systems that exist for assembling audiovisual projects. With advanced editing tools, this program is designed to be able to add as many layers of work to your montages as required, and without worsening reproduction quality.
In this eight-course Domestika Basics, film editor Raúl Barreras introduces you to the program, starting at the very beginning, teaching you editing techniques and the keys to organizing your materials. Get ready to have enough knowledge to be able to edit your audiovisual projects in a professional and efficient way.
In the first course, Raúl introduces you to the program. Discover what non-linear editing is and why it's so important, and explore Avid's strengths, dynamics, and structure as well as learn about codecs and formats.
In the second course, begin to organize your projects and manage imported material. In addition, gain a deeper understanding of the timeline and its logic, so as not to lose synchronization while working.
In the third course, discover what file synchronization is and how it's done. Learn to name files and edit in multicamera from the source monitor and the timeline.
In the fourth course, learn everything about loading, playing clips, how to mark it in and out, and move on to make your first edit. Also use the Trim tool and navigate through the buttons and menus, looking at a range of other possibilities and tools.
In the fifth course, focus on the sound and functionality of each part of the mix. Raúl introduces you to sound in the timeline and the level outputs, as well as effects such as the creation of recordings and different sound settings.
In the sixth course, customize your user experience and configure all the tools to your liking. Learn to work with automatic saves and see how the timeline behaves.
In the seventh course, focus on titling your sequences and creating effects. Also learn how to animate them and determine when they're ready for rendering. Delve into color correction, how to modify the temporality of a clip, and applying effect templates.
In the eighth course, see how to export your work correctly, learning to prepare your sequence for other departments to work with.
