Wedding Photography: Couples Session
A course by Citlalli Rico, Professional Photographer

Learn techniques and creative resources to take professional photos of newlyweds in a matter of minutes
To capture unique wedding photos, it’s not enough to know how to take a photo, you need to understand how to direct the bride and groom, envision the ideal spot for a shoot, and know which lighting to select in each session. All of this in a matter of minutes! Professional photographer Citlalli Rico has many years of experience as a wedding photographer, with over 700 wedding albums under her belt, as well as acknowledgments from prestigious international photography associations like Fearless Photographers, International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers, and Inspiration Photographers.
In this course, she teaches how to develop photography sessions for newlywed couples in a short lapse of time. Once you finish this course, you will be able to produce a wide variety of images in one location, by learning techniques, preparation, how to direct the couple, creativity, execution, and basic photo editing.

Start by understanding how weddings work through a photographer’s perspective, to understand the ideal moments to carry out your photo session. Know what questions to ask to the newlywed couple, to get to know them better and connect with them during the session. Create a mood board with all the information about the couple, along with all the information you have about the wedding.
Get a better understanding of the equipment you need, the camera adjustments to shoot manually, and the different types of lenses you may need. See the different types of natural and artificial light for portraits, as well as basic composition theory and frames.
The bride and groom photoshoot will be carried out in one location, where you will see how to identify the ideal site, natural light, and the best frames. See the key aspects needed to create your wedding couple’s photoshoot, using different resources, making quick and concrete decisions to generate a wide variety of images in a short period of time. Then, learn how to direct the couple and create a shoot with artificial light.
Finish the course by working on editing the photos from your session, understanding how Citlalli selects her photos, corrects color from raw images in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to exporting your images and printing them.
