Requirements and materials
Previous knowledge is not necessary to do this course.
As for the materials, you will need notebooks of different sizes with different kinds of paper and binding. Also, pencils, charcoal, stylograph, oil pastels, hard pastels, colored pencils, and markers are needed.

Santiago Guevara graduated as a graphic designer from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá (Colombia). He has combined his work as a freelance illustrator—mainly for illustrated children's books—and his job as a teacher in the Faculty of Arts of the Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) for many years.
He has worked with magazines, newspapers, editorials and many clients worldwide. He has also published many books in collaboration with different writers and editors, including Corazón de león by Antonio Ungar, Los irlandeses by Jairo Buitrago, La gata sola by Carolina Sanín, Soy asesino y padre de familia by Fabio Rubiano and Los 16 motivos del lobo by Amalia Moreno.

Der Kurs besteht darin, dass Santiago Guevara seine vielen Sketchbücher zeigt und diese bespricht. Es werden nur ganz ausnahmsweise Techniken gezeigt, der Rest ist Kommentar. Vielleicht hätte der Kurs eher mein Interesse wecken können, wenn ich hätte zuhören können statt mitlesen zu müssen, da es keine Audio-Umbesetzung gibt. Leider ein Kurs, den ich bereue, gekauft zu haben.
