Make your animation project inspired by nature and bring your illustrations to life with After Effects.
In this online course, led by Andrés Rossi, a graphic designer specialized in animation and motion graphics, you will discover how to bring your illustrations to life through animation. With his Wildthings studio in the Argentine mountains, Andrés has worked for renowned brands such as Facebook and Disney, fusing his passion for nature with his creative projects.
Throughout this course, you will learn to observe your environment and use it as a source of inspiration to create impressive animations. Using the tools of Photoshop and After Effects, Andrés will guide you in creating an animated scene in a natural environment.
The course is divided into several stages. You will begin by going out to explore your immediate environment, taking sketches and ideas. Then, you will move on to creating a moodboard and designing the characters in Photoshop. Later, you will develop the storyboard of your scene and convert it into styleframes, adding color to it. Next, you'll learn the basics of animation and create an animatic to guide the execution of your piece.

What's included in this course?
In this course, you will acquire the necessary skills to create animations from the observation of your environment. Andrés Rossi, renowned designer and animator, will guide you step by step in the creative process, using the tools of Photoshop and After Effects.
To start, you will learn to capture ideas and sketches from your immediate environment, exploring the creative possibilities it offers you. Next, you will develop a moodboard and design the protagonists of your animation in Photoshop.
Next, you will go through the process of making the storyboard and the styleframes, giving shape and color to your scene. You will discover the basic principles of animation and create an animatic to guide the execution of your piece.
Once in After Effects, you'll dive into the world of animation curves and learn how to work with shape layers more flexibly. Then, you'll start animating, applying camera movements and bringing elements of your sequence to life. Also, you will explore the basic rigging to move your characters.
Finally, you'll add the final touches of composition and color, along with sound effects to complement your animation. At the end of the course, you will have in your hands a simple and fun method to bring your illustrations to life through animation.

Using the techniques and tools learned throughout the course, you will bring your illustrations to life, animating your characters and elements in an environment inspired by nature.
