Your letters, your style, your identity. In this contest, we invite you to turn your own name or initials into a unique typeface or lettering piece that speaks about who you are.
Go analog or digital—sketch with pencil and ink, sculpt vectors with Bézier curves, or mix both. Explore form, contrast, rhythm, and spacing to express a theme, emotion, or idea. There are no limits—just your creativity.
Do you love drawing letters, tweaking kerning, and playing with weights? Share your creative process and inspire others with a step-by-step tutorial that reveals how your typography evolves from first sketch to final lockup.
We invite the entire community of type lovers—lettering artists, calligraphers, aspiring type designers, and curious creatives—to participate. Whether you draw by hand or design on screen, your perspective matters and can spark the imagination of others.
Share your typographic vision and win amazing prizes!
📌 Important: Only projects that include a clear, detailed step-by-step tutorial of the typographic process will be considered.

1️⃣ Your Type
Design an original typeface or lettering using your full name or your initials. Go free, decorative, experimental, or super-minimal — your style, your voice.
2️⃣ Concept
Add a short note (1–3 lines) about your choices: why this style, what personal traits you wanted to highlight, and which references sparked the idea.
3️⃣ Creative Process
Show at least two key steps: paper sketches, vector outlines, spacing/kerning tests, weight variations, proportion tweaks, or grid explorations.
Each step should include one image plus a brief explanation to help others follow how your lettering/type took shape.
4️⃣ Final Piece
Publish the finished version of your typeface or lettering applied to your name or initials. Mockups welcome!
5️⃣ Tools & Materials
Tell us what you used: pencil, markers, brushes, ink, or digital tools like Illustrator, Procreate, Glyphs, FontLab, Affinity, etc.
6️⃣ Creative Tip
Share a trick that helped: test legibility at small sizes, print and trace for cleaner curves, use contrast to guide the eye, or fine-tune spacing with optical checks.
The Domestika team will evaluate all submitted projects and select the winners based on:
• Creativity → Originality in the design of the typeface or lettering, and how well it expresses the creator’s personality. The winning entries will stand out for turning letters into stories—showing not just design skill, but personality and intention in every stroke.
