What's included in this course?
Start off by getting to know a little more about the founding member of Colombian brand Vida Útil, Laura Palacio, and her background. She tells you how she began her journey through the world of design and ended up starting her own business. She also shares some of her main personal and professional influences.
Then, look at the different types of lighting, according to tones and colors, and analyze spaces, focusing on their lighting needs and the importance of lamps. Start to organize your references on a mood board and from there define the design of your lamp by making your first freehand sketches.
Go on to learn the technical process of an industrial design, what advantages a 3D model can bring to your sketches, and make a realistic render for adjusting the details. Laura teaches you how to make technical plans for manufacturing and mass production and how to plan the costs of your design by differentiating between a model and a prototype.
