Charlie can't imagine a more rewarding profession than writing and devotes a large portion of his time to researching real-life crimes and criminal cases to help him create realistic detectives and killers for his stories.
His first novel, Solo vine para que ella me mate, earned him an honorable mention at the 2020 Premio Nacional de Literatura de Perú, and the film rights for it were later bought by a major producer in Los Angeles, California.
