He is the creator, designer, and manager of the TECK brand of art and design items. In addition, he has collaborated on designs for the Discovery Channel, Red Bull, Jack Daniels, and many more.

    You’ll learn how to create lettering pieces from sketching to digitization and physical production via laser cutting, including calligraphy techniques, composition, vectorization, and material selection.

    This is an intermediate-level course, recommended for those with basic experience in calligraphy, drawing, or digital design.

    You’ll need paper, brushes, brush-tip and flat markers, an iPad or digital tablet with Procreate, a computer with Illustrator, and access to a laser cutter or an external cutting service.

    Thick and thin strokes are achieved by varying pressure and the angle of the tool on paper, using brushes or brush-tip and flat markers depending on the desired effect.

    You’ll learn how to brainstorm ideas, develop hand-drawn sketches, and digitize them to select the best creative lettering concept.

    The course teaches how to photograph your sketch, clean it up in Procreate, vectorize it in Illustrator, and optimize it to export files ready for laser cutting.

    You’ll be able to create custom lettering compositions and turn them into physical objects like signs, decorative pieces, or graffiti tags using laser cutting.
