A successful app must solve a problem in a simple and pleasant way, and design is the key to achieving this. In this five-course Domestika Basics, learn how to use Adobe XD from scratch, Adobe CC's software for prototyping website interfaces and applications, and design an app like a pro. First, understand the workflow of a document in Adobe XD, learn about the different modules of its interface, how to use the properties window and the work tables, and create your first document in this software and start structuring the design of your application.
Learn to use the tools to order, align, and distribute elements within the artboards. Create simple shapes to turn into icons to be integrated into your app and see how you can develop and integrate font styles.
Create the application interface. See how to import images and work with symbols in your project. Learn about the Grid tool to optimize processes, and Arturo explains how to integrate your user interface for iOS and Android.
Continue your learning, this time focusing on a fundamental: organization. Discover the benefits of working with smart guides and learn how to properly use the layers panel. Find out how to work with folders and how to pin elements within the application. Then, see the advantages of working with an Adobe CC library.
To finish this Adobe XD Domestika Basics, create an interactive prototype of your application. Arturo explains the importance of the home screen and, once you have built all the app screens, he teaches you how to link the sections, as well as how to edit and correct the links. See different preview options, and lastly look at the different ways to share your prototype and receive feedback.
