Achieving a specific result depends largely on your chosen medium, which is why experimentation is key. Artist Estrellita Caracol specializes in illustration using collage. Although she studied design, her passion for both collage and paper led her to children's illustration using collage, an area that was uncharted territory for her at the time. When the chance arose, she picked up her paper and scissors and began to teach herself until it finally became her area of expertise.
In this course, Estrellita Caracol shows you how to develop a series of illustrations step by step to express your personal style through collage and tell a story in pictures.

Requirements and materials
You don't need any previous experience to take this course, just come ready to cut up and play with colored paper.
In terms of materials, you need scissors, glue, paints, regular card, thick card, and different types of paper. A pair of watchmaker's tweezers and acrylic paints would be useful, but are not essential.
If you'd like to digitize your compositions, you also need a camera, tracing paper, and a computer with Adobe Lightroom and, if possible, Photoshop.

A course by Estrellita Caracol
Natalia Spadaro, better known as Estrellita Caracol, is an Argentine illustrator. She studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires, but later taught herself illustration, specializing in collage.
Her illustrations have been published in books and magazines from a range of publishers including Atlántida, Edelvives, Macmillan, Puerto de Palos, Estrada, Treintayseis, Gerbera, and Kalimat from the United Arab Emirates. She has also participated in numerous exhibitions. In 2013, her illustrations were chosen to compete in the Fourth Ibero-American Illustration Contest and the Guadalajara International Book Fair.
She currently works as a freelance artist, designer, and illustrator
and teaches workshops on collage and illustration for both children and adults.

This course is incredible. The extra tips, techniques and resources were huge and very helpful. Also appreciated the checklist of tasks to complete each exercise. She presented this course in a very organized methodical manner, with exceptionally clear instruction. Her style for working with collage is lovely and fun. I learned so much!

Sadly, I didn't finish the course. The translation is slow and often incorrect, with odd words that make no sense in the context of the sentence. It was too difficult to finish.
